Mystery of unknown Woman Last Seen With Murdered IEBC official, Daniel Musyoka Outside Club

Detectives have launched a manhunt for a mysterious woman last seen conversing with slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Returning Officer, Daniel Mbolu Musyoka at a club.

Detectives attached to the case confirmed that they were in possession of CCTV footage which captured the two engaged in a conversation.

According to reports by Citizen TV, Musyoka was on CCTV footage speaking to an unidentified lady outside an entertainment joint in Tassia, Embakasi East.

The club was reported to be a few metres from the gate of the IEBC tallying centre where Musyoka was working.

Homicide detectives are also following a lead which indicated that Musyoka was lured by his acquaintance.

Another CCTV footage taken from the East African School of Aviation in Tassia Area of Embakasi, showed the deceased speaking to a boda boda rider with a pillion passenger.

The passenger was identified as a clerk who was working at the polling station and was en route to work.

A colleague of the deceased told the press that he spoke with Musyoka on the night of his disappearance. Musyoka confirmed that he had started receiving results from the various polling stations.

“The only challenge he said he faced was that original copies of the form 34A had been stolen from one of his colleagues. I don’t think that such a problem would have made him leave the tallying centre,” the IEBC staff stated.

Musyoka went missing on Thursday, August 11 with police noting that his phone battery died or the gadget was switched off.

Investigations showed that Musyoka called someone via WhatsApp before his phone went off around the Mihango area.

Detectives began tracing his last physical and digital footprints from his home, to the tallying centre, then to Church Road and eventually to Oloitoktok where his body was found.
